The Zeigler Automotive Group (haroldzeigler.com) is proud to announce the grand opening of its newest franchise, a new JD Byrider location at 6539 Ogden Avenue in Berwyn. A ribbon cutting ceremony took place on August 29 in partnership with the Berwyn Development Corporation (BDC).
The new store is the 11th dealership in Illinois and the eighth in the Chicagoland area for the Zeigler Automotive Group. The 12,500 square-foot location offers used car sales, financing, eight service bays and a customer service center.
Franchisee Aaron Zeigler, who also owns two JD Byrider franchises located in Kalamazoo and Lansing, Mich., as well as 34 new car franchises located in Michigan, Indiana and Illinois, is excited to open his newest location. "I look forward to serving the Berwyn community and the surrounding area by giving car buyers reliable and affordable options as well as financing all available at the Berwyn location," said Zeigler. The BDC assisted the Zeigler Group with negotiating the acquisition of the property and guided their team through various construction processes in order to complete substantial rehabilitation of a former Ford dealership site. The new business has created approximately 30 jobs and is anticipated to be one of Berwyn’s top three tax revenue generators. Mayor Robert Lovero commented, “When we met with Mr. Zeigler and his group, we got the sense that they were about family and community. We welcome you with open arms not only because you’re great businessmen but also because you have the sense of community and family that we all try to bring forward in Berwyn.” Jon Fey, BDC Board President, continued, “We took a tour of the facility, and I’m very impressed with the quality of the building and the quality of the management at this organization. I think they did a fantastic job building this new property in record time and created a great asset for Berwyn and Route 66.”
In addition to the new Berwyn location, JD Byrider opened new stores in Beckley, W. Va., Waco, Texas, Highland, Ind., Richmond, Va., and Opelika, Ala., earlier this year. Including the new stores, JD Byrider now has 138 locations in 31 states with plans to open additional stores later this year.

JD Byrider of Berwyn is only the latest in series of grand openings and improvements throughout the Zeigler Automotive Group. Most recently, Zeigler Automotive Group has added Zeigler FIAT of Grandville, Zeigler Honda of Kalamazoo and Zeigler Chrysler Jeep Dodge of Kalamazoo. Also, the Zeigler Automotive Group has added Zeigler Chevrolet and FIAT stores in Schaumburg, a new Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram store opening in Downers Grove and improvements at Zeigler Chrysler Jeep Dodge in Schaumberg that include additional service bays.
