Anan Abu-Taleb to Host Community Forum

Oak Park Mayor Anan Abu-Taleb invites all Village residents to a Community Forum on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 from 7-8:30pm at the Veteran’s Room of Oak Park’s main library, 834 Lake Street.

Joining Abu-Taleb will be Patrick Maloney, CEO of West Suburban Medical Center, and Bruce Elegant, CEO of Rush Oak Park Hospital. “As we begin a new year, I want to bring residents and the people who serve us together for dialogue. Our hospitals are important members of our community, each firmly rooted in Oak Park for over 100 years,” Abu-Taleb said.

“In past forums, I have invited my fellow public officials to hear directly from residents,” Abu-Taleb noted. “I think we as residents also benefit from the opportunity to meet major businesses and employers. The hospitals are not only two of Oak Park’s largest employers, but an integral part of our community, providing important health care services and education.”

“I appreciate this opportunity to meet directly with our Oak Park neighbors and look forward to hearing their thoughts on West Suburban’s services,” Maloney said.

“We have held these forums periodically over the last nearly three years,” said Abu-Taleb. “As mayor, I have benefited greatly from these conversations, and I believe the dialogue has helped me and other officials serve Oak Park better.”
