“These forums are a chance for me and my fellow public officials to hear directly from residents about the issues they care about,” Abu-Taleb said. “There are a number of issues that I know many of us are concerned about, including concerns about criminal activity in Oak Park, and IDOT’s proposed sound walls on the Eisenhower Expressway.”
“The Township is not always as visible to Oak Park residents as the Village is,” said Boulanger. “And yet we provide a number of services to residents, especially to the more vulnerable among us. I am looking forward to this opportunity to hear from residents about how we are doing.”
“We have held these forums periodically over the last two and a half years,” added Abu-Taleb. “As mayor, they have helped me engage directly with my fellow Oak Parkers and to bring their ideas and concerns back to the board and Village staff.”
Please join this ongoing community conversation, and invite your friends and neighbors!
