Animal Care League Holiday Bazaar

What does 30 years, pictures with Santa, holiday decorations, gifts, baked goods, and furry friends mean to you? That is what we will be celebrating soon….The Animal Care League will be hosting their 30th annual Holiday Bazaar on Friday December 4th 3-9pm and Saturday December 5th 9am-3pm. This event has been a major fundraiser for the Oak Park organization, and is truly a celebration not to miss! Are you looking for just the right gift for someone (including your furry friends), new holiday décor, lights, gift wrap, or some fresh baked goods for your holiday party? We have all the answers to your shopping list. Perhaps you are looking for a way to escape the holiday hustle and bustle? Stop by and get a chair massage from Stephanie Skrine while listening to one of our local musicians. We will be hosting this event at 6930 West Roosevelt Road in Oak Park. (Directly across from Culvers Restaurant.) Another plus is the off-street parking in the lot just west of the building! Look for our banner and the big snowman out in front! All proceeds benefit the Animal Care League in their efforts to care for those four-footed friends that are looking for new homes.

Besides all the wonderful gift items and decorations, don’t miss the opportunity to sign up for our famous basket raffle, have some coffee, cider and baked goods, or a bowl of veggie chili while listening to some great local musicians. Mael Designs will be there Friday to take orders for artwork of your favorite pet!

Need to keep the kids busy while you shop? We will continue to provide the special “Kids Corner” again this year, with activities for them to enjoy while you find those holiday gifts.

Are you looking for a family photo for your holiday cards or your mantle? Santa will be there on Saturday December 5th 10am-2pm. Bring the whole family (including your favorite furry friends) for that photo to cherish and send to your friends. Your furry friends can even help you pick out a favorite treat, toy, or gift basket for them that Santa Paws has waiting there! There will also be some ACL adoptables to visit with throughout the day.

The Animal Care League is a non-profit organization with over 40 years of helping animals in Oak Park, Forest Park, River Forest, Berwyn, North Riverside, Northlake, and other surrounding communities. The shelter is located at 1011 Garfield in Oak Park. Not only do we provide housing for homeless pets, but also offer a low-cost spay/neuter clinic, humane education, low income pet support, obedience classes, and much more. Each year, the ACL adopts out over 800 pets to loving homes. The Holiday Bazaar is one of the biggest fundraisers in this effort. Volunteers and community support are needed to make this a success.
