Armed Man In Lexus Steals Phone, Cash From Victim In Oak Park

OAK PARK, IL — Oak Park police are investigating an armed robbery that took place Thursday night. According to police, the incident occurred in the 500 block of Scoville just before 10 p.m.

Police say the suspect, who was driving a white Lexus, approached the victim as they walked in the 500 block of Scoville. The victim told police the suspect pulled over, got out of the vehicle, displayed a silver handgun, and demanded the victim's belongings.

According to police, the victim dropped their black iPhone 6s, Monster DNA headphones, and a wallet that contained $6 and several debit and credit cards. The suspect took the items and fled south in the white Lexus, police say.

The suspect was described as a black male between 20 and 25 years old with a thin build, standing approximately 5'10" tall. He was last seen wearing dark pants and a dark hooded sweatshirt.
