Armed Men Hit, Rob Victim In Oak Park: Police

OAK PARK, IL — A Chicago resident was the victim of an armed robbery in Oak Park early Monday, according to police. The incident took place around 2:50 a.m. in the 800 block of N. Austin.

The victim told police that two men approached their on the street — with one man displaying a pistol — and demanded their belongings. Police say the victim initially refused to comply with the demands and was hit in the face by one of the suspects.

The suspects then reportedly went through the victim's pockets and took $60 in cash before getting into an older brown Buick and fled eastbound on Chicago Ave.
