Armed Robber 'Stabs, Cuts At' Victim On CTA Platform In Oak Park

OAK PARK, IL — Police in Oak Park are investigating an incident in which a woman armed with a sharp object attempted to rob a female CTA passenger Sunday. The attempted armed robbery was reported at approximately 1:47 a.m. in the 900 block of S. East.

According to police, the woman approached the victim while she was waiting on the CTA platform. Police say the woman asked the woman for money. When the victim refused to comply, the suspect then allegedly used a "cutting instrument" to "stab and cut at" the woman.

The suspect was described as a black female, standing roughly 5' tall with a shaved head. She was last seen wearing a green baseball hat and dark clothes.
