OAK PARK, IL—The Oak Park Regional Housing Center is hosting a panel discussion, “Being Latino in Oak Park,” for Latinos to talk about their experiences in our community. The event is Thursday, October 16, 7:00-8:30 pm at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 611 Randolph, Oak Park.
“Latinos make up a growing percentage of the regional population, yet in Oak Park, the population is under-represented,” says Rob Breymaier, Executive Director of the Housing Center. “In the spirit of being inclusive, we wanted to hear from the community about Latino experiences here.”
The panelists and attendees will talk about Latinos’ voice in the Oak Park community, Oak Park’s inclusiveness with regard to the Latino population, and how we might improve.
