The man reportedly shared images of the young girl via an online site.

BENSENVILLE, IL — A Bensenville man has been charged with child pornography after an undercover sting by the FBI. Ricardo Gomez allegedly photographed and sexually abused an underaged girl and had been "touching her body for years," according to FBI documents.

Throughout 2017, FBI undercover agents posted multiple messages on social media platforms that targeted people looking for child pornography.

On January 2, Gomez allegedly responded to one message by offering "regular or wilder pics" of his victim, documents show.

Gomez reportedly told the undercover agent that he frequently showers with the victim. He also described some of the sexual acts her performed but said there was "no penetration." He then sent the officer two photos that depicted the child pornographically, according to FBI reports.

The FBI complaint added that the two photos showed the young girl naked. Gomez also allegedly sent a video that showed another prepubescent girl with an adult male in a graphic sex act. Documents say he allegedly offered to secretly record his young acquaintance in the shower.

After an investigation, FBI used Gomez's IP address to subpoena his home address from Comcast.

During a search of Gomez's home, agents confronted him about his online activity on the child pornography site. He reportedly admitted to having an account on the site for 7 or 8 years and acknowledged that he had sexually explicit chats with the undercover officer in which he mentioned showering with the victim.

Gomez dismissed his story as "all lies" and "pure fantasy."

On Thursday, Gomez was charged with knowingly transporting child pornography. He is currently in custody.
