Berwyn Man Beaten, Robbed After 'Minor Collision' In Oak Park

OAK PARK, IL — Police are looking for "multiple male and female subjects" who beat and robbed a Berwyn man after a minor collision in Oak Park Sunday. The crash and subsequent attack took place in the 700 block of S. Austin around 1:30 a.m., according to police.

The victim told police that he as involved in a crash with a dark sedan near the intersection of Austin and I-290. When the victim pulled his vehicle over and got out, a group of men and women exited the other car and began shouting profanities at him.

The suspects then hit the man "several times" before taking his Samsung Galaxy S8. They were last seen getting back into the sedan and heading eastbound on I-290.
