Burglar Crawls In Through Basement Window In Oak Park

OAK PARK, IL — Oak Park police are investigating a burglary that took place on the village's northeast side. Police say the burglar crawled into the home through its basement window sometime in the afternoon on Sept. 30.

The victim told police that the incident took place sometime between noon and 3:15 a.m. The resident reportedly came home to discover that their window had been pried open.

According to police an envelope containing cash and keys was stolen. The total estimated loss was $500.
