Burglars Nab 3 Flat Screen TVs From Oak Park Home

OAK PARK, IL — Three TVs valued at a total of more than $8,000 were stolen from an Oak Park home during a burglary on Fourth of July. Police say the break-in took place in the 1100 block of S. Cuyler.

The victim told police they left their home around 4:30 p.m. and returned just before 10 p.m. to find that the window on a side door to the residence had been shattered. After shattering the window, the suspect or suspects unlocked the door's deadbolt to get into the house.

Once inside, they removed an Apple iPad, three sets of car keys, and three flat screen TVs. The total reported loss was $9,185.
