Oak Park's E.W.S Fashion Academy Delivers Hands-On Fashion Training with Master Tailor

OAK PARK, IL – Aspiring designers and sewing enthusiasts can now study under one of fashion’s most seasoned experts. E.W.S. Academy in Oak Park is offering ongoing classes in sewing, tailoring, pattern making, and garment construction, led by acclaimed Master Tailor and Designer Eric W. Stiles Sr.

Workshops and classes are open to all skill levels—from beginning to advanced sewers—and students may start at any time, with lessons tailored to their experience. The program begins with a 2½-hour trial workshop—just $52.88, supplies included—designed for complete beginners as well as experienced hobbyists.

Held at 137 N. Oak Park Ave., Suite 105, the workshops offer practical, hands-on instruction. Participants can continue into three- or six-week professional-level courses that explore advanced garment construction. Both afternoon and evening options are available.

With more than 40 years in the industry, Stiles has worked with top fashion houses including Brioni, Giorgio Armani, Polo Ralph Lauren, and Tom Ford. Known for his approachable teaching style, he emphasizes building real-world skills in a supportive, no-pressure environment.
