A Californian Couple Celebrates 50th Anniversary at the Eastgate
Reaching across the miles - and the years - they found the perfect place to commemorate the occasion.
Dr. Hindman of California wanted to do something special for his wife to celebrate their Golden Anniversary on June 21. Remembering how happy they were in their first apartment at 102 Harrison Street in Oak Park, he thought their old living room would be the perfect place to toast his bride of 50 years. As it happened, the apartment had been converted into a charming continental bistro called the Eastgate Café and the owners were delighted to host the Hindmans and their guests on this special occasion. The perfect story to end a week full of strife and discord.
