Guerin Prep will host its entrance exam on January 10, 2015.

CHICAGO, IL (January 6, 2015) Guerin College Preparatory High School (Guerin Prep) will host its entrance exam from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 10. The exam is the first step toward admission for the class of 2019. Guerin Prep (www.guerinprep.org), a Catholic, co-educational college preparatory school situated on a 23-acre campus in River Grove on Chicago’s Northwest side, serves approximately 450 students from Chicago and surrounding suburbs. Celebrating its tenth year, Guerin Prep offers students two new cutting-edge programs beginning this year: the Department of Research and Innovation, in which students will participate in STEM-focused classes, build robots and experiment with Guerin Prep’s new 3D printer; and the Guerin International Experience, where students learn side-by-side with 13 Chinese students completing their high school studies at Guerin. With a commitment to strong academics, arts and athletics, Guerin Prep students experience a unique well-rounded, faith-based education that teaches them to be critical thinkers, engaged leaders and caring individuals.

“We encourage all students considering their high school options to take Guerin’s entrance exam,” said Steve Baldwin, President of Guerin Prep. “Guerin Prep is an excellent choice for all students considering their high school options. The addition of our two new programs only serves to strengthen an already stellar academic curriculum. Our students have the opportunity to explore their diverse interests and excel in many ways - and our graduates have gone on to more than 100 universities and colleges including Yale, Notre Dame, and Michigan State,” he added.

Prospective students are also invited to attend Gator Junior High Night from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., the Friday evening before the entrance exam, where they will watch the Guerin Prep Gators boys’ basketball team take on Ridgewood High School and enjoy complimentary pizza. They will also have the opportunity to meet Guerin Prep students, athletes and coaches. To participate in Gator Junior High Night on Friday, January 9, students should report to the Holy Cross Gymnasium, located at the southern end of the campus, where they will be greeted by an ambassador of the school.
