Car Stolen At Gunpoint On Garfield In Oak Park
A man with a handgun came up to the victim as they got out of their car and demanded their keys and cellphone.

OAK PARK, IL -- Oak Park police are investigating an armed carjacking that took place Thursday in the 700 block of Garfield. The incident was reported just before 10:30 p.m., according to a police summary.
The victim told police that they had just gotten out of their red 2014 Kia Forte when they saw a man holding a handgun get out of a white sedan and approach their vehicle.
The suspect reportedly demanded that the victim give him their cellphone and keys. Once the victim complied, the suspect got into the car and drove westbound on Garfield, trailed by the white sedan.

Police say the victim's cellphone was later found near the intersection of Lexington and Oak Park.
