Cash, Phone, Food Order Stolen From Delivery Driver In Oak Park

OAK PARK, IL — Oak Park police are searching for a man who robbed a delivery driver in the 100 block of Le Moyne Pkwy. Thursday. According to police, the suspect reached under his shirt as though he had a weapon and stole the driver's cash, cellphone, and food order.

Police say the robber took place at approximately 11:25 p.m. when the delivery driver was approached by a man who demanded his belongings. The victim told police that the offender then "reached under his sweatshirt," but did not display a weapon.

The victim gave the suspect a gold Apple iPhone 6, cash, and a food order. The offender then headed on east on LeMoyne, crossed Austin, and fled through the Mason/Austin alley, police say. The total estimated loss was $605.

The suspect was described as a black male with a thin build, standing about 5'10" tall. The victim told police the suspect may have had a tattoo between his eyebrows. He was last seen wearing camouflage pants and a black sweatshirt with a hood.
