Caution Urged for Seniors; Reported Misrepresentation of Township Employees

There have been several recent reports of people claiming to be representatives of Oak Park Township possibly in attempts to defraud seniors in our community. Senior citizens are encouraged to confirm in-home appointments by calling Oak Park Township Senior Services at 708-383-8060. If someone claims to be from the Township, please ask to see an official ID. If there is a suspicion of illegal representation of a Township employee, please also contact the police by calling 911.

Oak Park and River Forest Township Senior Services provides case management, meal programs, caregiver support, in-home chore services, money management, will preparation, transportation services, abuse investigation, home energy assistance and health insurance assistance, with the goal of enhancing seniors’ quality of life while promoting independence, self-esteem and dignity.
