Choirs collaborate for gospel celebration
A special afternoon of gospel music uniting two of Chicago's well-loved choirs
For the first time, the Lutheran Choir of Chicago and the Lutheran School of Theology Gospel Choir are uniting for a celebration of urban contemporary gospel music with “Gospel Partners,” Sunday, March 15, 4:00 pm at Pilgrim Congregational Church. The message is one of hope and praise, featuring choral works by Franklin, Walker, Smallwood, and Keith Hampton, director of the LSTC Gospel Choir. If you find yourself clapping your hands and tapping your feet, it won’t have anything to do with the cold! Tickets are $10 in advance (at www.LutheranChoirofChicago.org), $15 at the door; children 10 and under are free.
