Cicero Man Pleads Guilty To Drug-Induced Homicide: Cops
He pleaded guilty to supplying heroin to a Wisconsin man who died of an overdose in Oak Brook.

CICERO, IL --- A Cicero man has pleaded guilty to charges of drug-induced homicide in the death of a Wisconsin man. Matthew Chapman, 31, of the 1800 block of S. 58th Ave. in Cicero, was accused to supplying heroin to Zachary Giebel, 25, of Wisconsin in August 2016. Giebel was found dead from an overdose in an Oak Brook hotel the following morning.
After an investigation by Oak Brook Police and DuPage Metropolitan Enforcement Group (DuMEG), Chapman was taken into custody on the charges in February 2017 and has been held there on $500,000 bond.
DuPage County State's Attorney Robert Berlin said, "This is a tragic story that we have heard over and over again that must come to an end. People must realize that heroin is a killer and it only takes one dose of this deadly poison to end a life."
