The new gymnastics center, made possible by the Park District's Oct. 2011 purchase of an old Aldi grocery store, will relieve the years-long problem of overcrowding at the Hedges Administrative Center, 218 Madison St., where young gymnasts, buildings and grounds workers and park district administrative staffers battle for the 17,000 square-feet of space.
