CPD To Host Block Club Convention, Resource Fair In 15th District

Residents of the Austin community are invited to attend the free event to gather information that will assist their blocks.

CHICAGO — The Chicago Police Department's 15th District is hosting a Block Club Convention and Resource Fair in the Austin neighborhood this weekend. Residents are invited to take part in workshops, engage with jobs agencies and learn about local training initiatives at the event.

Workshops on home ownership and block club training will be presented, CPD said. Employment agencies will be on hand to offer jobs and job training to attendees.

The theme of this year's convention is "We are the Change."
