Da-Da-Da-DOM! (Church of) BEETHOVEN's FIFTH Sunday Aug. 21
Chicago's intimate classical music concert series celebrates its 5th birthday with Oak Park's Living Room Players

Church of Beethoven-Oak Park, Chicago's intimate third-Sunday classical music series celebrates its fifth anniversary Sunday, Aug. 21 with a special performance.
Oak Park's Living Room Players aim to bring chamber music off of the concert stage and into intimate settings similar to those which gave the genre its name to be enjoyed by anybody who stops to listen. They are equally at home sharing their craft in an art gallery or cafe as we are in a living room.
Started in Oak Park in 2011, Church of Beethoven-Oak Park presents Sunday morning classical music performances in an intimate and casual setting as well as poetry by local poets and two minutes of silence. The family-friendly concerts are designed to bring classical music to an intimate audience in a casual setting. Record store owner Val Camiletti is mistress of ceremonies in a refreshing Sunday morning event with free coffee and cookies.

"Chamber music, at its core, is about the highest level of connection. It is unique among classical forms in its egalitarianism - no conductors, no soloists, just small groups of musicians, interacting, exploring, and communicating directly with each other. We believe it is this very nature of chamber music that makes it especially inviting, draws audiences to connect with us, and us to them, as we put on display our deep connections with each other," said Living Room Players Co-Director and Bassoonist Dorian Antipa.
Performing will be Antipa and Violinist Juliet Dawson.
