District 90 Host Town Hall Forum on Student Achievement and Assessments
Questions on Student Achievement and Assessment Answered at District 90 Town Hall Forum
Assessments and student achievement reports can raise questions for families and students. What do the reports really mean? What are the different types of assessments used by District 90? Why does the District use different assessments? How do the various assessment support classroom instruction? These questions and others will be addressed at a Town Hall Forum that will be held on Tuesday, December 6 starting at 7 p.m. at Roosevelt Middle School, 7560 Oak Avenue.
The topic for the Town Hall Forum is the Student Achievement Report and Assessment in District 90. Dr. Alison Hawley, Director of Curriculum and Instruction, will provide a briefing on the role and types of assessment used in the District. There will be a presentation on interpreting assessment results, assessment support of classroom instruction, and the different assessments used in the District. Hosted by Board of Education President Ralph Martire and Superintendent Ed Condon, the Town Hall Forum will serve as the normally scheduled Committee of the Whole meeting. Audience members are asked to bring questions and a friend. Please join us!
