District 90 Receives Certificate of Excellence for Financial Reporting

District 90 has been awarded the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Association of School Business Officials (ASBO) International. The award is in recognition of District 90’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for the fiscal year 2014. It is the 22nd year that District 90 has received this recognition.

The recognition acknowledges that the District’s financial reporting has met or exceeded the ASBO’s standards for financial reporting and accountability. The Certificate of Excellence award also confirms the school business office’s commitment to financial accountability and transparency. According to the ASBO, receiving the Certificate of Excellence award can help strengthen a district’s bond rating

The award program is sponsored by VALIC, a school district retirement plan provider, and the ASBO, a 105-year-old professional organization that promotes the highest standards of school business management practices.
