District 90 Receives Certificate of Excellence for Financial Reporting
23rd Year for ASBO Award for District 90
District 90 has been awarded the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting (COE) by the Association of School Business Officials (ASBO) International. For more than 40 years, the COE has recognized school districts for excellence and best practices in financial reporting. The award is in recognition of District 90’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for the fiscal year 2015. It is the 23rd time the District has received this recognition.
The recognition acknowledges that the District’s financial reporting has met or exceeded the ASBO’s standards for financial reporting and accountability. The Certificate of Excellence award also confirms the school business office’s commitment to financial accountability and transparency. According to the ASBO, receiving the Certificate of Excellence award can help strengthen a district’s bond rating
The award program is sponsored by VALIC, a school district retirement plan provider, and the ASBO, a professional organization that promotes the highest standards of school business management practices.
