Drunk Driver Crashes Into Storefront In Oak Park: Cops
Police say the impact caused bricks on the storefront to collapse.

OAK PARK, IL — A Chicago man has been charged with driving under the influence after he crashed his car into two storefronts in Oak Park early Thursday. Police say Larell Jackson, 25, lost control of his vehicle around 2:15 a.m. and struck a light pole before smashing into two buildings in the 200 block of Chicago Ave.

According to police, the impact was so hard that bricks from the storefronts crumbled onto Jackson's 2002 GMC Yukon after the collision. The crash reportedly caused damage to the "support structure" of the buildings, Oak Park police said in a press release.
Three passengers were in the car with Jackson at the time of the crash and one was taken to Loyola Medical Center to be treated for injuries that were not deemed to be life-threatening.
