Electronics Recycling Takes Charge in Oak Park, River Forest
Both communities to have events from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. this Saturday.

If you’ve got old televisions, printers, computers and anything else electronic that you want to get rid of this is a good weekend to do it.
Both Oak Park and River Forest are sponsoring electronic recycling events from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. this Saturday.
Oak Park’s monthly drive will be at the Public Works Department, 201 South Blvd. Acceptable items include:

- Computers and peripherals, keyboards, mice and hard drives.
- Laptops
- Monitors and televisions
- Cell phones and rechargeable batteries
- Printers
- Fax machines
- MP3 players
- Videogame consoles
- VCRs
- Zip drives
- Scanners
- Microwaves
Similar items also will be accepted during River Forest’s quarterly drive, on the west side of the 400 block of Thatcher Avenue across from the Metra train station.
River Forest also will take tablets, DVD players, digital converter boxes, cable and satellite receivers and cordless telephones.
