Derby Lite, the unique roller skating fitness class that uses the drills of traditional women’s roller derby in a non-impact, non-competitive environment, is coming to a town near you.
Want to give it a try? Come to one of our upcoming “Get in Gear” days. Watch a demonstration of what we do, and if you bring a helmet, we’ll have skates and gear to borrow so you can give it a roll.
Join us from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, August 14 at The ARC Building, 18 Chicago, Ave., Oak Park, to watch a demo, try on skates and test out equipment to see if Derby Lite is for you.
The Oak Park/Forest Park Park District will offer both beginner and intermediate sessions from 9/12 to 12/5. The beginner sessions will take place on Mondays, 7:30 to 9 p.m. and Saturdays, 8:30 to 10 a.m. The intermediate session will take place on Wednesdays, 7 to 9 p.m.
The classes will be held at the The ARC Building, 18 Chicago Ave.
