As an added attraction, learn how to make scale model trees, bushes, weeds and grass lawns from an expert. A special free demonstration by “The Tree Lady”, Ingrid Drozdak, will occur continuously during the open house.

OPSME models a railroad running from Chicago west to Iowa. When completed it will have three levels of operation. The first level is a staging area with several yards; the second level represents Illinois, including an Oak Park scene; and the top level represents our track through Iowa. The club uses Digital Command Control (DCC)and are also incorporating several updated modeling techniques – computer dispatching control, helices, lightweight materials, lighting effects, and more.
