Quick-witted Oak Parker Peter Sagal, host of NPR's popular "Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me" news quiz show, will give a lecture Friday at the . 

His talk, entitled "Smuggling Monkeys," is part of the Unity Temple Restoration Foundation's "Break the Box" series, which invites speakers "selected not only for their ability to draw a diverse audience and present compelling ideas for the public's consideration, but for their capacity to challenge their listeners and stir lively discussion and debate."

Speaking to Oak Park-River Forest Patch before Friday's performance, Sagal said he'll talk about "Wait Wait's" place in American media.

But he'll also make a stab at solidifying the show's place in American history. 

"I think I'll make the case that it's more important to make monkeypants jokes than it is to watch Charlie Rose interview policymakers," he said. "Really, what's more useful to your life?"
