Telling the Story of "Iron Jawed Angels"

Meet the woman behind the words of the film depicting woman's battle for voting rights. Jennifer Friedes is an independent writing and editing professional who graduated from Cornell Law School. Clips from the film will be viewed and analyzed.

The final months of an 80 year long struggle are portrayed in this film with Hillary Swank as Alice Paul and Frances O'Connor as Lucy Burns. The film follows these two political activists as they use effective strategies to energize the American feminist movement to grant women the right to vote.

Deputy Registrars will be ready to register voters at this event. Bring two pieces of identification with current address.
