Oak Park photographer Lisa Green will exhibit her newest and treasured portfolio “The Art of the Newborn,” a collection of photographs of babies taken just a few days after birth December 1 through December 30 at the Oak Park Public Library Gallery, 834 Lake Street. This photo exhibit captures the unique and magical time of infants through her caring eye for detail.
On Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. December 10, a reception for Lisa Green will be held at the Library Gallery. The reception is free and open to the public. “The Art of the Newborn” is supported by Canon USA; all the work in the show was created with Canon Camera equipment and printed at Canon’s corporate center in Itasca.
Lisa’s long ties to the Oak Park/River Forest community through her childhood (as the daughter of well-known photographer Anne Bradley) and now as a parent and resident make her a local institution. In 2011 The Oak Park Public Library commissioned Lisa to shoot the photos that are now permanent in the Reading Room. Additionally, her work has been showcased throughout the Chicago area. She created “Baby G” as her brand of photography for newborns. BabyG is a division within Stephen Green Photography, 721 South Blvd. in Oak Park.
