Families Must Opt In Or Out Of Hybrid Learning On-Site By Dec.7
It is time to make the decision whether your student will participate in onsite classes during hybrid learning second semester.
Dear OPRF Families,
It is time to make the decision whether your student will participate in onsite classes during hybrid learning second semester. An executive summary, available by clicking here, provides an overview of our hybrid plan and key information about how it will work. Please review it carefully with your student. (If you’d like to review the full, 51-page plan, please click here.)

In reviewing the plan, here are some critical things to consider as you make your decision:
- You should review the hybrid learning plan with your student. Their voice is critical in this process. Only after discussing as a family should you select the option that is best.
- If you choose remote learning, this choice is for the entire second semester. Rotational groupings will be based on the number of students who choose on-site classes. Therefore, you cannot choose to remain in remote-only learning, then later switch to on-site learning. You may, however, opt out of on-site learning at any point during the semester.
- We will not implement hybrid learning until it is safe to do so. The soonest we may begin hybrid learning would be January 19. This date, however, depends on local and county COVID-19 metrics.
- Students are required to cooperate with all OPRF safety protocols at school and school-related activities. Failure to do so may result in your student being removed from on-site classes or activities for the remainder of the semester.
The deadline for making your choice is Monday, Dec. 7, at 5 p.m. If you don’t make a selection, your student will be in remote learning for all of the second semester.

We encourage all of our students' parents and guardians to be a part of the decision-making process. Note that in order to ensure we do not receive conflicting information for any of our students, the selection process can be completed only by parents/guardians listed in the primary household by Skyward.

To drive COVID cases down to the point where we can hold on-site classes, we all need to be safe: Wear a mask. Practice social distancing. Wash your hands. The more we follow these practices, the sooner we Huskies can be together again.
Sincerely,
Dr. Joylynn Pruitt-Adams
Superintendent
