Felony Franks Opens 'Home of the Misdemeanor Wiener' in Oak Park
The eight full-time and five part-time employees of the hot dog restaurant are ex-cons.

About two years after closing the doors of its Chicago location, Felony Franks has finally found a suitable “Home of the Misdemeanor Wiener” in Oak Park.
The hot dog restaurant opened Thursday at 6427 W. North Avenue, with its signature staff of former felons serving up menu items such as the Chicago-style “Misdemeanor Wiener,” the Polish sausage “Parolish” and “Cell Mates,” a combo of beef and Italian sausage.

Oak Park native Deno Andrews, owner of Felony Franks, has hired eight full-time and five part-time ex-con employees, according to the Chicago Tribune.
