Forum On Race And Education At Oak Park-River Forest High School

Community members are invited to attend a Forum on Race and Education on Nov. 14 at Oak Park-River Forest High School.

OAK PARK, IL — In the wake of a racially charged month that involved a student posting an image in blackface, Oak Park-River Forest High School is holding a community forum on the Intersection of Race and Education. The event will include a student panel and a chance for community members to speak about concerns and recommendations. There will also be a presentation by Dr. David Stovall, an associate professor of Educational Policy Studies and African-American Studies at University of Illinois Chicago.

The forum on the Intersection of Race and Education will be held in the Oak Park-River Forest High School South cafeteria, 201 N. Scoville Ave. on Nov. 14 from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
