Free Workshop To Educate Oak Parkers About Food Waste

Oak Parkers can learn about the impact of food waste and how the village handles the issue.

OAK PARK, IL -- Oak Park business owners and community members are coming together to host a workshop educating residents about what the village is doing to provide inventive solutions to food waste. The Feb. 12 workshop will also teach participants about what they can do to minimize and repurpose food waste in their daily lives.

Members of Sugar Beet Co-op, Oak Park-River Forest Food Pantry, Oak Park-River Forest High School, Green Community Connections, and Seven Generations Ahead will be at the event to offer advice and answer any questions residents have.

The Food Waste Workshop is free, but registration is recommended to secure a spot.
