Fresh Thyme Farmers Market Hosts Grand Opening In River Forest

RIVER FOREST, IL — Fresh Thyme Farmers Market will host a grand opening event Wednesday at its new location in River Forest. The new store will be located in the former Dominick's space at 7501 North Avenue and will carry a wide selection organic produce and sustainably sourced items.

Residents can browse a huge selection of locally sourced eggs, hormone-free meats and cheeses along with a massive array of fruits, vegetables and freshly squeezed juices. The River Forest Fresh Thyme Farmer's Market will also feature a salad bar, a bakery with artisanal bread baked fresh daily and a station where customers can grind their own peanut, cashew and almond butter.

The first 250 customers to arrive to the Fresh Thyme Farmer's Market grand opening will get a free bag of groceries with a purchase. Registered dietitians will be on hand to give tours of the store and recommend healthy food options and tips. And of course, there will be plenty of items to sample along the way. The festivities will also include a hot dog stand with proceeds that will benefit the Oak Park-River Forest Food Pantry.
