Grinch Steals 'Foot Peel Mask' From Amazon Package
The packages were taken from a homeowner's front porch, police said. Police estimate the loss to be around $80.
OAK PARK, IL - During the holiday season, porch pirates have a tendency to run rampant. While these real-life Grinches generally have no clue what's in a package they are stealing, most seem perfectly okay with that. Perhaps they enjoy the mystery of not knowing what's in the box they are taking from an unsuspecting victim.
This could very well be the case for one porch pirate in Oak Park. According to the Oak Park Police Department, someone stole several Amazon packages from a homeowner's front porch Monday evening.
Police said the packages contained three DVDs, a calendar and, yes, even a foot peel mask. The crime reportedly occurred along the 400 block of Wisconsin Avenue between 4:05 p.m. and 6 p.m.
