Headed To Any Weekend Events?

This weekend, there are lots of great events taking place throughout Oak Park and River Forest. 

We'll have reporters and photographers covering popular neighborhood events like Barrie Fest, Art on Harrison and the Lemon-Aid fundraiser. 

But they won't be able to talk to or snap photos of everyone. And that's where you can help.

So consider this a call for content. Your content.

At Patch, giving Oak Park and River Forest residents a platform to upload their own photos, comments and videos is a big part of what we do.

Why? Because we like to think contributions get people involved, which can lead to the creation of important connections.

It's also a nod to a form of community journalism which values residents and their experiences — not just what journalists think you'll find important (though we'll be asking tough questions of your elected officials on your behalf, as well as fact checking and explaining what they're up to.)
