Holiday Concert: This Christmas ... my favorite things

Join the Frank Lloyd Wright Trust for a musical celebration of the season. Take a break from your busy holiday prep and chase away the winter chill as Grammy-nominated vocalist Margaret Carlson and her trio present a festive program of holiday favorites in the jazz tradition.

Vocalist Margaret Carlson has been compared to Julie Andrews and Maureen McGovern, with her elegant musical style and on-stage presence. In 1985 she was awarded the prestigious “Outstanding Musicianship” award from the Elmhurst College Jazz Festival. She recorded her first CD, “Once in a Blue Moon”, with jazz pianist and arranger Frank Mantooth. She followed up this recording with a second CD, “This Christmas ... my favorite things” which received a Grammy nomination.
