Home Energy Reduction Workshop

Just because the temperatures have been surprisingly and gloriously warm lately doesn't mean you should ignore home heating and energy costs. 

To that end, the leaders of several eco-friendly Oak Park businesses and regional green initiatives will host a special workshop Wednesday at , 123 Madison St.

Organizers say contractors and experts will be on-hand to answer homeowner questions about reducing residential energy consumption. They'll also walk participants through a "personal energy calculator," an online too that can provide a head start on energy conservation basics. 

The workshop, slated for 7-9 p.m., is sponsored by Energy Impact Illinois, the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning and the Village of Oak Park's Housing Division.
