Homicide Under Investigation In Maywood: Cops

MAYWOOD, IL --- Police in Maywood are investigating a homicide that took place Friday afternoon. According to a news release, police got a call of shots fired around 4 p.m. and arrived to discover Lawrence Williams, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was later pronounced dead, along with a second victim.

According to police, the second victim, Christopher Burks, was also shot, but is currently in stable condition at Loyola Medical Center. Police are currently investigating the shooting and Williams's death.
