How Can Oak Park Improve Mills Park? Officials Seek Suggestions from Residents

Oak Park residents can attend a public meeting to give their input on the Mills Park improvement plan.

OAK PARK, IL — Oak Park officials have asked villagers to give their input on a master plan to renovate Mills Park. The public meeting is set for 7 p.m. no May 3 at 217 S. Home Avenue.

Park District officials are picking back up with a plan that was first envisioned in 2008. Many of those planned improvements have been completed and officials are turning to residents to help develop future additions and renovations to Mills Park, according to Chicago Tribune. Diane Stanke, a spokesperson for the Park District, told Chicago Tribune that the meeting, officials and the public will “be reviewing the current plan and identifying additional upgrades to the park.”

If you want a hand in forming the future of Mills Park, attend the May 3 meeting, which will take place at the park’s historic Pleasant Home.
