Jackhammer Stolen During Home Burglary In Oak Park
Police say the suspect entered the home through an unlocked window.
OAK PARK, IL — Police are looking for a suspect or suspects who climbed in through an unlocked window and burglarized a home in Oak Park. A jackhammer and other tools were stolen during the burglary, which took place in the 100 block of S. Austin sometime between Dec. 25 and Jan. 2, police say.
According to police, the suspect(s) got into the home via the first floor window and removed a thermostat. The offender(s) then went into the home's basement and stole a jackhammer and "miscellaneous tools." The total loss was estimated at $2,250.
