Jazz Vocalist Dee Alexander at the Oak Park Arms

Jazz singer Dee Alexander with Jeremy Kahn and Eric Schneider perform at the Oak Park Arms tonight.

The Monday Night Concert Series features singer Dee Alexander at 7 p.m. Monday, October 16, at the Oak Park Arms retirement community, 408 S. Oak Park Ave. The Monday night concerts are free and open to the public.

She will be accompanied by Jeremy Kahn and Eric Schneider, both of whom are well known at the Oak Park Arms.

Dee Alexander is one of Chicago’s most gifted and respected female vocalists. Her talents span every music genre and a favorite is jazz. Besides being a headliner in her own right, Alexander has shared the stage with Michael Bolton, Ahmad Jamal, David Sanborn, Earl Klugh, Gerald Albright, Roy Ayers, Joshua Redman and the O’Jays.

She formed the Evolution Ensemble, an acoustic group that consists of string instruments and percussion, devoted to original compositions.

The Monday Night Concert Series, which is free and open to the public, is dedicated to presenting small ensembles, primarily solos, duos and trios.
