Kids Steal Violin From Shopper At Dollar Tree In Oak Park: Cops

Police said the violin was stolen by a boy between 10 and 12 years old who was with two other boys.

OAK PARK, IL — Police in Oak Park are looking for a group of boys who allegedly stole a shopper's violin from a Dollar Tree Store Tuesday. The customer had left the violin in its case at the front of the store while shopping at the store in the 900 block of Madison.

According to police, the theft took place just before 4 p.m.

Police say a boy between the ages of 10 and 12 years old grabbed the blue and black violin case not far from the store's entrance. The boy and two other juvenile suspects then left the store and headed westbound on Madison.
