Leaf Collection In Oak Park Ends For The Season
Residents must now bag their leaves and use a yard waste sticker.
OAK PARK, IL — Leaf collection has ended for the season in Oak Park, according to a recent village newsletter. Residents should no longer rake their leaves into the streets and must used bags with yard waste stickers for their leaves, according to village officials.
The post warns that continuing to rake your leaves into the streets can be unsafe for bicyclists and drivers. Leaf waste in the streets can also clog storm sewer trains and cause flooding during heavy rains.
