Triton College Special Board Meeting

August 4, 2015

Observer: Natasha Pelka

Present: Chair Mark Stephens, Donna Peluso, Diane Viverito, Elizabeth Potter, Glenn Stam, Glover Johnson, and student representative Gustavo Muñoz.

The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m.

Board goes into Closed Session. Interviews of 8 candidates for the vacant Trustee position began on time. All candidates interviewed for about 15 minutes each.

Open Session: New Trustee appointed and sworn in. Mr. Jay Reyes of Riverside will serve as Trustee until next election in April of 2017. Mr. Reyes attended Triton College and was part of the Triton College Student Association (TCSA). In addition, he has served the college as a member of the President’s Community Advisory Committee, was on the Triton College Foundation Board of Directors, and filled a previous Board vacancy in 2010-2011.
