BUDGET HEARING
The proposed budget for 2015-2016 was published in the paper and displayed. No questions were asked, so the hearing was adjourned.
Superintendent Condon reported that he responded to a Freedom of Information Act request from Illinois Education Association with regards to non-certified staff in River Forest School District 90.

The Board approved the Consent Agenda which included: Bills and Payroll of $1,569,858.88 (information available in packet on pages 9 - 35) and Treasury Report (information available in packet on pages 36 - 60).
BOARD COMMITTEES
EDUCATION - Rich Moore reported on professional development which includes technology.
PERSONNEL - discussed later in the meeting.
POLICY - discussed later in the meeting.
FINANCE/EQUITY - Equity committee scheduled for October 7.
FACILITIES - no meeting.
COMMUNICATIONS - Patrick Meyer responded to a request for input into the proposed
development at Lake and Park. Since development at Lake and Park may increase the amount of traffic, the board’s focus is for the safety of the children.
Brief reports were given for the following: OPRFHS Citizens’ Council, Youth Network Council, Inclusiveness Advisory Board, River Forest Service Club, Citizen Corps Council, IASB Governing Board, and ED-RED.
SUPERINTENDENT’S REPORT
Budget for 2015 -2016 was approved. The budget will be submitted to the county, state, and will be placed on the district’s website ( final draft available in the packet on pages 64 -82).
The Board approved policy 5-180 which deals with temporary illness and temporary incapacity of general personnel.

SUBSTANCE ABUSE and MENTAL HEALTH SERVICE ADMINISTRATION GRANT
District 90 is part of a federal grant for up to 5 years, which will use a five step process to
develop, implement, and evaluate substance abuse prevention activities (information
available in the packet on pages 123 - 126).
ENROLLMENT: total enrollment for District 90 is 1,370 students.
